Week 1 – #EverRiseWomen2019

Do you have any idea how stinking excited I am to be sharing kick ass women in tech with the world?!?  Probably not.  I’m straight up, dancing-in-the-kitchen-with-a-spatula excited.  Yes, that’s a thing (or maybe that’s just in my house).  To learn more about the origins of #EverRiseWomen2019, check out this post.

To continue the excitement, I want to give you a run down of 7 amazing women that EverRise has featured so far on LinkedIn.  Like, comment, share and connect so we can promote each other together!  Without further ado, I give you the #EverRiseWomen2019 Week 1:

1. Dr. Jacqueline Acho Dr. Acho holds a Ph.D in Chemistry from MIT and has spent 25 years working with companies on strategy and leadership. Her current work focuses on empathy-centered cultural transformation and she is is the co-author of the 2019 book Empathy Deficit Disorder.

 

2. Maya Ajmera Maya Ajmera is the President & CEO at Society for Science & the Public and Publisher, Science News. The Society is responsible for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the Broadcom MASTERs and Regeneron Talent Search. Maya has been an amazing force at the Society. Even more cool, we’re both alums of ISEF!

 

3.Neysha Arcelay Neysha Arcelay is the Founder & CEO of Precixa. With a background in Chemical Engineering, she uses her affinity for solving problems to help organizations navigate transformational change. In fact, her company Precixa is 3 today! 4. Jennifer Apicella Jenn Apicella is the President and Founder of Build412 Tech. Build412 Tech has taken an incredibly fresh, interactive approach to strengthening and connecting Pittsburgh’s tech scene. The first ever downtown tech crawl attracted over 400 people! 5. Andrea Amador You might look at Andrea’s profile and think “I thought this campaign was about women in tech.” Yes, it is. While Andrea is not a STEMinista, she is Wonder Woman. Andrea is my virtual admin. She’s my sounding board, coach and behind-the-scenes super power. Many conversations with Andrea, led me to more actively promoting other women in tech. Thanks Andrea!

 

6. Nicole Ayala Fouron Nicole Fouron is a Chief Administrative Officer at BNY Mellon. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Nicole has risen through the ranks and is now an executive leader at BNY Mellon. I met Nicole at the Women Who Lead Conference in Pittsburgh recently. She shared her personal journey and some of her internal struggles in one of the most authentic messages I’ve ever heard. Thank you Nicole!

 

7. Dr. Crystal Bailey Dr. Bailey is the head of Career Programs at the American Physical Society. She holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from Indiana University. She uses her experience as a physicist and educator to help students, grad students and early career physicists prepare for and navigate their careers. Even cooler, we went to high school together in Arkansas!
